The members at Waynesville wish a hearty “WELCOME” to the Cain family. They have been attending with us for several weeks now, and have asked to join in the work of the congregation. This is great news!

It is our prayer that the congregation be supportive and encouraging to their family, just as they have already been to us. The kids have been a joy to have in classes and to talk to, and the other kids seem to be enjoy them as well.

May the work at Waynesville grow and may our efforts bring more to Christ and the church. Thanks so much for joining our efforts!

As Abe stated at the start of his lessons for today, their is no connection between his lesson title and this news, though it did bring some smiles and chuckles! :^)

Abe’s lessons for today were on Cain, the first child of many and woman. He talked about who is was, what we know of him, his sacrifice compared to that of his brother Abel, and what transpired. Non-church Sponsored Youth Event – 05/18/12

I was forwarded information on an event for high school and college age youth for a dinner followed by fun and games at the Web Extreme Entertainment. A way for young church members, and young Christians from area, to meet new friends from other area congregations, and have some fun in a good environment.

Note: This is not a church-funded event, nor are area congregations teaming up to fund/organize this. The event is paid for by attendees and organized by individual members of local congregations.
